Community Cleanup & Festival Volunteer
On Sunday, August 23, 2026, members of our community came together to help clean up the yard around Kouti and the storage area.
With the help of many generous and kind young volunteers, we trimmed tree branches, shrubs, and hedges and removed unwanted items, including wood, electronics, metal, and chemicals. These items will be placed in a dumpster and hauled away to the appropriate landfill or disposal facility.
We truly appreciate everyone who came out and contributed their time, energy, and hard work to make our temple grounds cleaner, safer, and more beautiful. View Gallery for additional updates.
“Thank You to Our Temple Kitchen Team”
After the cleanup, Mae, Pat, and the team prepared delicious noodles (pho) for everyone. This meal was generously provided by our temple kitchen team, Kualao. Thank you to everyone who helped prepare and serve the food!
“Preparing for Boon Khao Salak”
Some of our community volunteers also helped our monk prepare for Kong Boon and organize and tidy the decorations for the upcoming festival, Boon Khao Salak, which will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
The announcement flyer has already been sent to our members’ homes. We hope everyone will come and join us this Saturday to celebrate together and support our temple community.

Join us as we celebrate the feast of Boun Khao Salak; is a Buddhist festival held annually during the 10th full moon of the lunar calendar (this year on 16 September) at local temples nationwide to celebrate and remember the dead…
Everyone is welcome! To celebrate the Boun Khao Padabdine, the Buddhists are preparing offerings composed of Tomh Khao, Khao Nom Neb (cakes made with rice), fruits, and other kinds of foods that will be offered to monks. These religious activities are intended to honor the dead and the spirits.!
All are welcome to join our community gathering as we celebrate by acts of charity between the community and the temple, between families and their ancestors.
You’ll have the chance to sample food from our local vendors and browse our gift shop for souvenirs and traditional items.

More Volunteers Needed
We will need more volunteers after the Boon Khao Padapdin event this weekend, especially on Saturday and Sunday, September 5–6, 2026, to continue with additional cleanup and organization around the temple grounds.
We especially hope some of our younger community members can come and lend a helping hand. Your time and hard work are greatly appreciated, and working together makes the job easier and more enjoyable for everyone.
